Essex Community Messaging app for iPhone and iPad

Essex Community Messaging allows citizens to sign up and receive accurate and up-to-date information, crime prevention advice and notifications from Essex Police officers, Essex Watch liaison officers and other key partners, such as Neighbourhood Watch. The ECM app provides a ready and easy way to receive updates from these sources on your mobile device, both tailored to your ECM registered profile and also based on your current location.
ECM also gives you full control on what data you choose to share, and allows location based alerts without registering a full ECM profile.

CONNECT ECM PROFILE
- You can connect your ECM web profile to your app, allowing you to receive notifications on the go, based on your profile choices and addresses of interest.
- You can receive rich media notifications including photographs from various Essex Community Messaging officers and partners.
- In addition to your profile, you can also choose to receive notifications on the location you are in.

NOTIFICATIONS WITHOUT ECM PROFILE
- You can also opt-in for limited notifications for the location that you are in, where no personal information is shared with our system.

WE RESPECT YOUR PRIVACY
- Location data is not stored on our servers. We only use location data on device to identify whether you are in an affected area, for purpose of alerting.
- Connecting the ECM app to your profile is secured by a PIN to avoid misuse of your profile.
